James Burnham is President of Vallecito Capital, LLC, and Principal at King Street Legal, PLLC. Vallecito Capital exists to ensure that righteous cases never falter for lack of financial resources. It provides financial support for litigants, claimants, and law firms that seek to pursue monetary damages in matters with a measurable social impact, investing in litigation and other legal solutions across all sectors. King Street Legal is a boutique law firm that counsels clients on their most important and difficult legal issues and that assists with high stakes litigation of all types. Before founding Vallecito Capital and King Street Legal, James was a litigation partner at Jones Day, a senior official in the Department of Justice’s Civil Division and Office of the Attorney General, and a Senior Associate Counsel to the President. James also clerked for Justice Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court and Judge Alex Kozinski on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated with high honors from the University of Chicago Law School and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin.
