James is Senior Research Fellow at Coin Center. Prior to joining Coin Center, James spent five years in several roles at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the last of which included market monitoring and internal consultation on consumer protection policy issues related to new and emerging payment systems and technologies. James received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Oberlin College.
